Minnesota surpasses 40,000 total positive COVID-19 cases Thursday

The Minnesota Department of Health reported 589 positive COVID-19 cases out of 12,535 completed tests Thursday--a positivity rate of 4.7 percent. The state's positivity rate has been declining over the past two days after hitting a 9.6 earlier this week, but it is slightly higher than the previous week.
