Vikings focus on developing bonds at training camp

The Minnesota Vikings’ first preseason game is only days away and the team is getting ready for their first real test.

Head Coach Mike Zimmer kept Xavier Rhodes and Stefon Diggs out of practice after tempers flared between the two during practice.

A strong competitive focus, players say, is also helping the team bond.

“You know the guys you’re playing with, you know what you’re going to get out of them, basically you know you can trust the guy next to you to do his job,” said Brian Robison, Vikings defensive end. “It makes it easy when you come out here and you have fun with those guys and, like I said, in that locker room, it’s pretty special to just sit there and have conversations and just know the guys you’re playing with."

The Vikings will play the Denver Broncos in Denver on Saturday at 8 p.m.
