Twins part of historic home team sweep

For the first time in Major League Baseball history, all home teams won on a day with a full 15-game schedule. The Minnesota Twins held up their end of the bargain with a walk-off double from Eduardo Escobar in a 3-2 win over the Texas Rangers.

The previous MLB record for a home team sweep was a 12-win day in 1915.

The Twins win follows a players-only meeting to address a dismal post-All-Star stretch that includes a 1-6 record on the team’s latest road trip.
