Minnesota Twins to unveil Joe Mauer statue at Target Field April 13

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The Minnesota Twins on Tuesday announced their promotions for the 2025 home season at Target Field.
Former Twins’ legend Joe Mauer will have a dedicated statue unveiled before their April 13 home game against the Detroit Tigers on Target Plaza near Gate 34. Mauer was inducted to the National Baseball Hall of Fame last July in his first appearance on the ballot. He’s also in the Twins’ Hall of Fame and had his No. 7 jersey retired at Target Field back in 2019.
Mauer spent all 15 of his major league seasons with the Twins, was the American League MVP in 2009 and won three batting titles, all as a catcher.

What we know:
The first 10,000 fans through the gates for the April 3 home opener will get a Twins City Connect Beanie.
- Royce Lewis will have a bobblehead night May 24.
- Byron Buxton will have a bobblehead night July 12.
The Twins will have at least two postgame concerts this season. They will host a hip hop performance on Friday, July 11, after hosting the Pitsburgh Pirates at Target field. They’ll have a country artist on Friday, Aug. 15. Neither performer has been officially announced.
Corey Koskie Twins Hall of Fame induction
What we know:
Former Twins’ third baseman Corey Koskie was announced as the team’s 2025 inductee for the Hall of Fame. He’ll become the 41st member and will have a pregame ceremony on Sunday, Aug. 17. The first 5,000 fans will get a Twins Hall of Fame pin.
2025 theme nights
What we know:
The Twins will host a Minecraft Movie Day on May 25.
- A Peanuts 75th Anniversary Night will be held July 25.
- SpongeBob SquarePants Night is set for Aug. 29.
- Bark at the Park is scheduled for two nights, May 19 and Sept. 2. Twins’ fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to Target Field, and dog owners will receive a Twins-branded portable dog food and water bottle.
- Star Wars Night is set for May 23.

The Twins’ equipment truck left Minneapolis for Fort Myers, Fla. on Feb. 1. Twins’ pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training on Feb. 13. The first full-squad workout is Feb. 17. Their first Spring Training game is Feb. 22, and Opening Day is March 27 at the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Twins’ 2025 home opener is April 3 against the Houston Astros at 3:10 p.m.
