Woman killed in Cass County, man arrested

Cass Lake, Minn. (KMSP) - A woman was found dead in Cass County Sunday morning. 

Deputies discovered the 25-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the head at a residence in Cass Lake, Minnesota at 8:17 p.m. They performed life-saving efforts, but the victim died at the scene. 

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death. He is being held in the Cass County Jail pending formal charges. 

The victim has not been identified pending notification of the family. 

The incident remains under investigation.
