A Wisconsin woman has been searching for her life-saving kidney for more than four years with no luck, so now she is taking matters into her own hands.

Ann Schangl put up a billboard along North Hastings Way in Eau Claire hoping someone driving by would give her a call, FOX 25/48 in Eau Claire reported.

Schangl said she did receive one call, but the willing donor was not a match. But, she is staying hopeful that just one person could change her life.

"If I can find someone to help me or help someone else because they do have a program if someone doesn't match me and they want to donate a kidney then my name would go up on the list,” she told FOX 25/48.

Schangl said it is about an eight-year wait on the transplant list right now. For now, she goes to dialysis three times a week, all while keeping her full time job.
