Vandals target Muslim cemetery, write ‘Leave You R Dead'

CASTLE ROCK TOWNSHIP, Minn. (KMSP) -  The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations called on law enforcement to investigate vandalism at the Muslim Cemetery Al Magfirah in Castle Rock Township, Minnesota.

According to a release, the vandals went into buildings and spray-painted profanities, Nazi swastikas and wrote “leave you r dead.” They also damaged walls, ceilings, furniture and equipment.

Last year, a Dakota County District Court judge’s decision forced the township to issue a conditional use permit for the cemetery after Castle Rock initially rejected it. The judge ruled that the township’s decision to deny the permit was “arbitrary and capricious” because the township did not provide any written findings of fact to support its decision.
