Two Minnesota orchestras were among the nominees for the 60th annual Grammy Awards, which were announced Tuesday morning.

The Minnesota Orchestra got its fourth Grammy nomination for "Best Orchestral Performance," this year, thanks to their recording of Mahler's 5th Symphony. They previously won the same award in 2014 for their performance of Sibelius’ Symphonies No. 1 and 4.

Minnesota's second Grammy nomination comes courtesy of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra for its recording of "Death and the Maiden," which earned it a nod for "Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance" alongside artist Patricia Kopatchinskaja.

The winners will be announced at the Grammy Award Show Sunday, January 28.
