Teenage driver with instruction permit cited for going 100 mph on I-94

A 17-year-old driver with his instruction permit was cited recently for going 100 miles per hour on Interstate 94. 

The Minnesota State Patrol said a trooper stopped the driver on I-94 in Moorhead on Jan. 22. The speed limit for that stretch of the highway was 55 miles per hour. 

The driver was cited for speeding, violation of an instruction permit and careless driving.
