Teen hit, killed by freight train in Anoka, Minn.

ANOKA, Minn. (KMSP) - An 18-year-old woman was struck and killed by a freight train near the Metro Transit -Northstar Commuter Rail station at 411 Pierce St. in Anoka, Minnesota Sunday morning. 

The woman was not hit by a Metro Transit train, but the Northstar Line trains were delayed while authorities investigated the incident, according to a spokesperson for BNSF Railway.

The Anoka Police Department, Anoka County sheriff's office and Metro Transit are investigating the incident.
