Taxi driver shot in Hennepin Avenue bridge road rage incident

A Minneapolis cab driver was shot in a road rage incident on the Hennepin Avenue bridge early Friday morning. Police said the Blue and White taxi and another vehicle were exiting downtown Minneapolis onto the Hennepin Avenue bridge when someone pulled out a gun and fired two shots, striking the cabbie.

The cab driver pulled over near Nye’s in northeast Minneapolis and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for treatment. The driver is expected to survive.

There were no passengers in the taxi at the time of the shooting.
