Section of I-35W closed again this weekend
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - It's going to be another weekend full of detours in the metro area.
For the second weekend in a row, part of I-35W will close from 10 p.m. Friday night to 5 a.m. Monday. Both directions will be closed between Highway 62 and I-94. Crews will be preparing the Franklin Avenue bridge for demolition.
Cars will be detoured to I-394, Highway 100 and Highway 62.

Also, overnight construction work will impact I-94, starting on Monday. Both directions from Mounds Blvd. to Highway 120/Century Avenue will be reduced to one lane from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Monday through Friday.
The following sets of eastbound I-94 ramps will experience closures for the rest of the month:
- southbound Highway 61/Etna Street to eastbound 94
- northbound Highway 61 to eastbound I-94
The Burns Avenue/Hudson Place (McKnight Road ramp) to eastbound I-94 will experience closures through October 16.
