Second person dies after Minneapolis apartment building fire
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A second person has died after a fire at a Minneapolis apartment building three weeks ago, according to Minneapolis police.
59-year-old Royce James died after jumping from a third-floor window at the building on 1500 Park. According to the criminal complaint, two people jumped from the building.
The second victim is 52-year-old Vickie Lee Ness, who died of thermal injuries and blunt force injuries, according to the medical examiner.
Following investigation of the fire, 30-year-old Marcus Dewayne Shanks was charged with arson and two counts of second degree murder.
