Quick thinking hotel staff help save 4-year-old girl in Chisago County

CHISAGO CITY, Minn. (KMSP) – Employees at a hotel in Chisago County are being credited for helping save the life of a 4-year-old girl who nearly drowned.

Around 8 p.m. last night the Lakes Area Police Department was called to the Grand Stay Inn in Chisago City for an unresponsive girl in the swimming pool.

Hotel staff started CPR, and officers found her breathing shallowly when they arrived. Officers administered oxygen and the girl regained consciousness and began to cough and cry.

She was transported to Regions Hospital, and following initial treatment the girl is conscious, speaking, and in stable condition.
