ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - St. Paul police say the woman who was shot dead Friday evening was pregnant and her unborn child did not survive.
At 5:45 p.m., officers responded to the 1900 block of Cottage Avenue East on a report of a woman shot in the head. When they arrived, they found Luis Chacon-Villeda, 19, in a bedroom performing CPR on the victim, according to a criminal complaint. The victim, identified as Eileen Viveros-Vargas, 18, of Landfall, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Viveros-Vargas' mother told Fox 9 her daughter was four months pregnant and was expecting a boy. She said her daughter and Chacon-Villeda had been together for about three years.
