Police: Father, 14-week-old baby found dead in Baldwin, Wis.
BALDWIN, Minn. (KMSP) - Authorities are investigating after a 39-year-old man and his 14-week-old daughter were found dead in their home in Baldwin, Wis. Tuesday afternoon.
Baldwin Police officers were dispatched to a house on the 200 block of Cedar Street at 4:40 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Jeffrey Long dead with a gunshot wound to his head.
Long’s 14-week-old daughter, Aubrey, was found unresponsive. Officers attempted to resuscitate her, but were unsuccessful. Authorities say she had no evidence of external or internal trauma.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner determined the manner of death for Jeffrey Long was suicide. The manner of death for the infant still undetermined, pending additional toxicology and microscopic testing.
Authorities say the incident appears to be isolated and the public is in no immediate danger.
The St. Croix County sheriff’s office is continuing to investigate.
