Mankato hit-and-run driver turns self in
MANKATO, Minn. (KMSP) - A North Mankato man has turned himself in to police for the hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a man Friday night in downtown Mankato. Michael John Muellerleile, 51, is facing a felony charge of leaving scene of personal injury accident, as well as a charge of driving without insurance.
The accident happened at 9:13 p.m. Friday at the intersection of North 2nd Street and North Washington Street.
Todd Bauman, 62, of Mankato, was taken to the local hospital and later transferred by air ambulance to Rochester. He is currently in serious condition.
