Man found dead on 34th and Fremont Ave. N. in Minneapolis
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A man was found dead in north Minneapolis early Tuesday morning with an apparent gunshot wound, and police are encouraging residents to come forward with any information.
Officers responded with paramedics to 34th Ave. N. and Fremont Ave. N. at 5:34 p.m. on report of a person down on the ground and in need of medical help. The man was pronounced dead upon arrival with an apparent gunshot wound. Investigators have spoken with several people in the area but do not yet have a suspect description.
The Hennepin County medical examiner’s office will release the identity of the victim as well as the nature and cause of death.
“Officers from the Minneapolis Police Department’s 4th Precinct will be out knocking on doors and speaking with people in surrounding neighborhoods. Residents are encouraged to speak with officers,” a news release from the Minneapolis Police Department said.
