'Major' Minn. heroin distributor arrested in overdose death

A man pegged as a “major” heroin distributor by Minnesota law enforcement has been charged with third-degree murder in connection to the overdose death of a Medina, Minn. man.

Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek, Medina Police Chief Ed Belland, Orono Police Chief Correy Farniok, West Hennepin Public Safety Director Gary Kroells met with media Tuesday morning ot announce the arrest.

The West Metro Drug Task Force is credited with leading the investigation and the ensuing arrest.

Jaime Edward McClellan is being held in the Anoka County jail on three counts of drug possession and sale of heroin, cocaine and meth. He has also been charged with third-degree murder for distributing a controlled substance.
