Girl, 9, rescued from bottom of Bloomington hotel pool

A 9-year-old girl is in critical but stable condition after being rescued unconscious from a hotel pool in Bloomington, Minn.

Bloomington police responded to the Ramada Hotel on the 2300 block of East American Boulevard at about 9 p.m. on Saturday after someone called to report the child had been pulled by hotel patrons, unconscious, from the bottom of the pool.

Her rescuers began resuscitation efforts, and she was breathing by the time paramedics arrived. She was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where she was listed in critical but stable condition on Sunday. Bloomington police and the Hennepin County sheriff's office are investigating.
