Fire damages two businesses near Forest Lake, Minn.

A large fire damaged two businesses, Bergen's Greenhouses and Waldoch Crafts, after beginning around 2 a.m. on Wednesday near Forest Lake in Columbus, Minn. 

Forest Lake Fire and approximately 10 other fire departments responded to assist with suppressing the massive fire. 

Loud explosions were heard and smoke was seen about a half-mile away from the fire. Upon arrival, deputies found the greenhouse fully engulfed with signifant damage. The fire then quickly spread to adjacent buildings including Waldoch Crafts. 

According to its website, Bergen's Greenhouses is a fourth-generation, family owned business specializing in year-round flowering plants, foliage and holiday plants, plugs, and bedding plants. Their Minnesota locations feature the first retractable roof greenhouses in the Upper Midwest.

Waldoch Crafts specializes in luxury van and truck customization. 

Cause of the fire has yet to be determined. No injuries have been reported. 

Traffic on Lake Drive between Pine St. and 141st Avenue has been detoured until 12 p.m. this afternoon.
