Clinton picks Sen. Tim Kaine as VP running mate

On Twitter, presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton announced she picked Virginia Senator Tim Kaine as her Vice President running mate.

Kaine is expected to join Clinton at a rally in Florida on Saturday.

Kaine is a former governor of the Virginia and former mayor of Richmond.

Four years ago, Kaine was elected to the Senate after serving as the chairman of the Democratic National Committee.

Clinton chose Kaine from a group that included Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

Kaine was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, but soon moved to Kansas City, Missouri and grew up there.
