Rally calls for Bob Kroll to resign as Minneapolis police union president, 250,000 signatures delivered
A coalition of civil rights and racial justice groups held a rally at Minneapolis City Hall on Friday afternoon calling for the firing of Bob Kroll as the president of the police union.
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Minnesota's Republican Congressional Delegation offered up its recommendations to President Donald Trump for U.S. Attorney and U.S. Marshal positions.

What we know:
The delegation, which includes Reps. Tom Emmer, Michelle Fischbach, Pete Stauber, and Brad Finstad, sent President Trump a list of recommendations on Monday.
For Minnesota's U.S. Attorney, the delegation recommended:
- Former U.S. Attorney Erica MacDonald, who served the Minnesota district during Trump's first term.
- Ronald Schutz, a partner at Robins Kaplan LLP law firm.
- Daniel Rosen, the principal at Rosen LLC.

The head of the Minneapolis police union Lt. Bob Kroll announced he is retiring at the end of the month.�
What we know:
As for the U.S. Marshal spot, the delegation offered two recommendations, including a familiar name: Former Minneapolis police union leader Bob Kroll.
Kroll, an outspoken supporter of law enforcement, retired from the union in 2021 after facing backlash from activists in the aftermath of George Floyd's killing. Kroll is temporarily barred from working in Hennepin, Ramsey, and Anoka counties as a police officer under a settlement with the ACLU.
The lawmakers also offered James L. Stuart, the executive director of the Minnesota Sheriff's Association and former Anoka County Sheriff.
