Anoka police officer injured in squad car crash

An Anoka police officer involved in a squad vehicle crash has minor injuries, according to Anoka police.

The crash happened Friday around 9:33 a.m. on 4th Avenue at the north end of the U.S. Highway 10 bridge.

The dash camera video shows the officer's squad vehicle drift to the edge of the road and hit the end of the concrete barrier rail of the bridge. The impact caused the car to rollover on the road.

The squad car was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

The police officer suffered minor injuries and received further evaluation at the hospital. No one else was in the vehicle.

The squad car was totaled in the crash.

The Anoka County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
