7-year-old girl dies in apparent drowning at East Bush Lake Beach

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (KMSP) - A seven-year-old girl died in an apparent drowning at East Bush Lake Beach Sunday afternoon, according to Hennepin County Sheriff's officials.

At 4:14 p.m., crews responded to a call of a medical emergency at the beach and attempted to revive the girl.

She was pronounced dead at Minneapolis Children's Hospital.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Officer is investigating the incident.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name and cause of death of the individual.
