20-year-old woman missing after camping in Le Sueur, Minn.

A 20-year-old woman from Le Sueur, Minn. is missing after last known to be camping Thursday on a sand bar on the Minnesota River.  Multiple agencies are searching for her by boat in the river today.

"Unfortunately at this time we believe she is in the river," Le Sueur County Sheriff David Tietz told Fox 9 today.

Moriah Lynn Zwart, 20, had been camping with a friend late Thursday night on the east side bank of the river near the southwest corner of the City of Le Sueur when she went missing.

"At some point during the camping venture, Zwart's friend lost track of Zwart in the early morning hours of May 1, which the friend then traveled by foot back to Zwarts' parents residence," Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office said.

Tietz said the two took alcohol with them, and that alcohol does appear to be a factor in this incident. He added that no foul play is suspected.

Zwart's cell phone and personal belongings were also later retrieved from the campsite.

Officials are confident that the river bottom area has been searched thoroughly and the investigation will now focus more on the Minnesota River. No search volunteers are requested at this time.

If anyone has any information regarding Zwart's whereabouts, please contact the Le Sueur County Sheriff's Office at (507) 357-4440, or Le Sueur Police Department at (507) 665-3313.
