2-year-old boy found unresponsive in Golden Valley swimming pool

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. (KMSP) - A 2-year-old boy was found unresponsive at the bottom of an above-ground, outdoor pool on the 3300 block of Scott Avenue North in Golden Valley on Monday.

According to police, a 911 caller reported that the child was found unresponsive at a residential pool around 1:30 p.m. First responders immediately provided CPR upon arrival. He was then transported to North Memorial Medical Center where he is currently being treated.

The Hennepin Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident.
