1-year-old fatally run over near Park Rapids

A 1-year-old was killed after being run over on Monday evening in Hubbard County.

Around 8 p.m., the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office responded to Dovetail Road near Park Rapids and found the child dead at the scene. Park Rapids man Roderick Dewinter, 51, had apparently driven to the child's home, and ran the child over as he was going to move his vehicle.

This incident remains under investigation by the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office.
