1 shot on Newton Ave. in Minneapolis

A man who appeared to be the target of an assault brought himself to North Memorial on Saturday night after a shooting in Minneapolis.

Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder said police received a shot spotter activation at about 11:06 p.m. on 1900 block of Newton Avenue North. Officers found casings on the ground upon arrival.

A little while later, a shooting victim showed up to North Memorial with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg. No arrests have been made at this time.
