1 dead, 1 injured in north Minneapolis shooting

Police are investigating after a fatal shooting early Saturday morning in north Minneapolis.

Police responded to a shooting picked up by the Shotspotter system just before 3 a.m. on the 1100 block of Broadway Avenue West.

When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also learned that a woman had been hospitalized in relation to this shooting, with a gunshot wound to her left arm. Her injuries are non life-threatening.

The name of the deceased man has not been released. The police report said the exact cause of his death also has not been released.

There have been no arrests yet.
