Frighteningly tasty Halloween fare
Between carving pumpkins and getting your costume just right, this Halloween, why not serve the 'evidence' of your crime to your guests with this creative decomposing body spread. If you can open packages and place it in the oven, you have this entire meal done.
For the ribcage, I took two packages of Lloyd's baby back ribs and placed them on a half sheet pan. Placed them into a 375-degree preheated oven for 35 minutes.
For the intestines, one package Old Wisconsin brats and one package Old Wisconsin wieners. These are important as these are linked together and will create that large/small intestine look. Bake in a 375-degree oven for 35 minutes as well on a half sheet pan.
You can do both the ribs and intestines in the oven together on separate shelves. For the display I took two long sheets of parchment, which I crunched together and then flattened out to create a textured look I which to place the rotting body. You can take a faux skill and place it up toward the top.
Have napkins, wet wipes, hot dog buns, condiments and extra sauce on the side for guests to dress up as they wish.
Happy Halloween!
