8th annual 'Give to the Max Day'
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (KMSP) - It's the 8th year of Give to the Max day. For 24 hours people can give online and have their donations matched and added to for Minnesota's nonprofits and schools.
Last year more than 18 million dollars was raised. More than 6,200 people made donations to more than 56-hundred organizations.
Secondhand Hounds rescues dogs and gets them ready for permanent homes. They are located in Eden Prairie and held an open house for families to come learn about the organization, do face painting and give donations.
The organization nurses dogs back to health and gets them ready to be comfortable in the right home.
Some other organizations are also hoping to get donations like Project Footsteps , GenesysWorks, Hopewell Music , Our Turning Point, Autism Society of Minnesota, Girls Scouts, The American Indian Family Center, The Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota, and the YWCA.
