The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed that an ICE agent shot a person in the leg as the person reportedly tried to evade arrest. During the pursuit ICE agents were reportedly assaulted by the person and two others with a snow shovel and a broomstick.

The City of Minneapolis said it is "aware of reports of a shooting involving federal law enforcement in north Minneapolis." Sources told FOX 9 the shooting happened in the 600 block of 24th Avenue North in Minneapolis. The call was reported at about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
