Washburn soccer upsets Minnetonka with amazing OT goal

The state high school soccer tournament opened up Tuesday night with No. 1 Minnetonka facing Minneapolis-Washburn, who hadn't made the state tournament since 1989. Washburn held a 3-1 lead late in the game on a redirection goal from Luke Peterson, but Minnetonka’s Avery Weaver scored 2 goals in just 31 seconds to tie the game at 3-3.

In overtime, a Kevin Lowen free kick was bounced around, but Sam Abrams found the back of the net to stun Minnetonka and keep Washburn’s dream season alive. WATCH THIS NEXT - Lakeville South volleyball's amazing double kick point
