Vikings need rookie TJ Clemmings to step up after Phil Loadholt injury

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (KMSP) - Veteran right tackle Phil Loadholt is done for the season after tearing his achilles in Saturday’s preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, so now a rookie is getting the nod.

T.J. Clemmings, selected in the 4th round, is now being fast-tracked and will get the start this week. The youngster feels he is ready and his coaches are pushing him to be ready, feeling that he can handle the job.
