University of Minnesota senior forward Jordan Murphy was named the Big Ten’s Co-Player of the Week on Monday after helping lead the Gophers to a 92-87 win over Iowa on Sunday.

Murphy had a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds against the Hawkeyes. He also tied a career-high with six assists and had two blocked shots.

It was his fourth 20-point game of the season and 13th double-double. He added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the Gophers’ 59-57 loss at Michigan at the buzzer.

He leads the Big Ten and is fourth in the country with 12 rebounds per game. He’s scored in double figures in 16 of Minnesota’s 20 games this year.

Murphy shared the weekly award with Michigan State guard Cassius Winston.

The Gophers (15-5, 5-4) host Illinois Wednesday night at Williams Arena. They’re looking to avenge a 95-68 loss at Illinois two weeks ago.
