Minnesota Vikings first preseason game: 5 things to watch for

Here are 5 things to watch for as the Minnesota Vikings open preseason play Thursday night at the Seattle Seahawks.

If you're staying up late to watch Thursday's game on FOX 9, don't expect any starters to play against the Seahawks. Rookie receiver and first-round pick Jordan Addison will play, but O'Connell did not say to what extent. Kirk Cousins will not play, and Nick Mullens will likely get the start. Expect rookie and fifth-round pick Jaren Hall to get action as well.

In week two of the preseason, the Vikings will host the Tennessee Titans at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 19, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. A game you can watch on FOX 9 and streaming. The third preseason game will also be broadcast live on FOX 9 and, when the Vikings host the Arizona Cardinals at U.S. Bank Stadium at noon on Aug. 26.

The Vikings open the regular season at U.S. Bank Stadium at noon on Sept. 10, when Minnesota hosts the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
