Amir Coffey is following in his dad’s footsteps to the University of Minnesota. The Hopkins High School standout picked the Gophers over national powers like Arizona and Baylor and Big Ten rivals Michigan State, Wisconsin and Indiana.

Coffey is a 6’7 guard ranked No. 33 in the ESPN100 and No. 54 on the Rivals100 index.

Coffey’s father, Richard, played for the Gophers from 1986-1990 and played 52 games with the Timberwolves in the 1990-91 season.
