Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano make their first appearance at the Minnesota State Fair

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -
Two new Twins players this year made their first appearance at the great Minnesota get together Saturday.
Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano tried some fair food, took a run down a fair favorite and surprised some of their youngest fans.

“It's really fun to come out here to interact with the fans of the Twins.” Sano said.

“I faced Miguel Sano when he was pitching… I hit a home run off him.” One Twins fan said.

“I'm sure he's in awe because he's a huge fan of Sano and Buxton.” Twins fans’ mom

Buxton and Sano even went for a ride on the iconic giant slide.

"Don't cheat and don't get hurt!" Buxton said.

When asked if the fair was what they expected,
“No, it's definitely a lot more crowded than I expected it to be.” Buxton said.

And it seems the great Minnesota get together exceeded their expectations.
“Definitely have to make this one of the traditions.” Buxton said.
