Adrian Peterson offseason saga continues with agent's 'best interest' jab

The latest headline in the Adrian Peterson offseason saga came out of Arizona on Monday, courtesy of the running back's agent, Ben Dogra.

"I don't think it's in Adrian's best interest to play in Minnesota," Dogra said. "Why would it be?"

The Vikings had a quick answer to that question: It's the only place with a paycheck bearing his name. Vikings general manager Rick Spielman made it clear that Peterson is under contract with the Vikings through 2017 and he expects Peterson to be part of the 2015 season.

"Adrian is a member of our football team," Spielman said. "He is under contract. We are focused on the 2015 season and expect Adrian to be a part of that. Our whole focus is getting ready for the season with Adrian."
