Adrian Peterson limps to sideline after leg injury

Adrian Peterson limped to the sideline at practice Tuesday after falling to the ground and appearing to hurt his leg during a running drill. Peterson is expected to be fine, teammates said.

After initial tests, Peterson left the field with head trainer Eric Sugarman. The Vikings didn’t provide an update on his condition, but players told reporters that the injury isn’t serious.

"Everybody knows Adrian's got a cape on. He'll be back out here tomorrow. I don't think anybody's worried about him," running back Jerick McKinnon said.

The Vikings don’t have practice on Wednesday, but Peterson is expected to be back on the field Thursday when workouts resume.
