Woman dies in south Minneapolis hit-and-run
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) - A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking across the intersection of Nicollet Avenue South and 43rd Street in south Minneapolis Sunday night.
The accident occurred around 5:00 p.m. The victim was transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center, where she later died. The identity of the victim has not been released.
The vehicle, described by witnesses as a dark sedan, continued driving northbound on Nicollet Avenue South after hitting the pedestrian.
Minneapolis police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect and the vehicle involved in the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call the tip line at 612-692-TIPS or text their tip to 847411.
