Woman dies after stabbing at St. Paul apartment building

ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) - A woman died after being stabbed at a St. Paul apartment building, according to St. Paul police.

Around 5 p.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing on the 100 block of Edmund Avenue West. Paramedics took her to Regions Hospital where she died from her injuries.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner will identify the victim and determine her cause of death. 

Police made an arrest in the case. There is not a threat to the public.

Investigators are in the process of interviewing witnesses. The case remains under investigation. 

This is St. Paul's 20th homicide this year.
