Tornado watch issued for central Minnesota

A hot/humid day sets the stage for strong storm development this evening across the FOX 9 viewing area including The Metro.

A Tornado Watch has been issued until 1 AM for central MN and the Metro area... Metro storms timeline is 8-11 PM.

There is a moderate risk for severe weather late this afternoon and this evening across the southern half of Minnesota and in far western Wisconsin. Very large hail, damaging winds and a tornado are possible later on today. Plan ahead and stay safe.
