Teen seriously injured after catching fire at Shoreview gas station

A teenage girl has life-threatening injuries after she caught fire at a gas station in Shoreview, Minnesota, according to the Lake Johanna Fire Chief.

Chief Tim Boehlke says Tuesday morning, the girl caught fire next to the pumps at the Quik Stop gas station on Lexington Avenue. Bystanders used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.

The girl went into the convenience store, where an employee called 911 and gave her aid.

Emergency crews later took the teen to Regions Hospital.

The fire is under investigation.
