A 16-year-old boy was killed in a shooting in Duluth, Minnesota early Monday morning.

Around 2:47 a.m., officers responded to a report of gunshots on the 2100 block of West 3rd Street in the city's Lincoln Park neighborhood, according to the Duluth Police Department. When they arrived, they found the teenager deceased. He has been identified as Ausineese Aubin Dufault.

The teen was recently charged in an April shooting incident, FOX 21 reports. Dufault is the suspect in a shooting on the same block on April 23. A bullet is believed to have grazed her head during the shooting. She suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Dufault, who opted for adult court, was charged with Aggravated First Degree Robbery and Second Degree Assault. He was out on bond when he was shot Monday.

Police do not believe there is a threat to the public.
