Surveillance video leads to capture, charging of Roseville armed robbery suspect
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (KMSP) - The Roseville Police Department captured an armed robbery suspect Monday with the help of home surveillance video, leading to charges in Ramsey County Wednesday, according to a release.
Jason Timothy McGowan of Fridley, Minn., had a BB pistol when he allegedly broke into a Roseville home Friday morning, upping his charges to one count of possession of a dangerous weapon and one count of second-degree burglary.
The 25-year-old is pictured on surveillance video holding a laptop and wearing a backpack, with the homeowner reporting multiple items stolen during the incident.
McGowan turned himself in without incident and faces 20 years in prison and a $35,000 fine.
