St. Paul Lunds & Byerlys catches fire over night

Video shows the awning of the Lunds & Byerlys in downtown St. Paul on fire early Tuesday, in a fire that now investigators believe was arson.

Twitter video taken by Corey Schreppel shows the fire around 1:30 a.m.

Fire crews say they were quickly able to knock down flames after responding to the fire along 10th Street East. At this time, investigators believe the fire was intentionally set. No injuries were reported during the incident.

Lunds say the store will remain closed until further notice as repairs are made.

"We are extremely grateful there were no injuries to our staff, and we are actively working with the St. Paul Police Department to provide video surveillance to assist with their investigation.," a store spokesperson writes.
