Police are attempting to track down a man and woman who fled from a Fridley, Minn. Target after a shot fired from a gun somewhere near the man's ankle.

Fridley police responded to the Target off I-694 and Central Avenue at 5:20 p.m. on Sunday. Police said a man and woman were at a register buying snacks and soda and told the clerk they were on a 12- to 15-hour-long road trip. The man began to “make an adjustment to his left ankle area of his leg,” police said, when a shot was fired, struck the floor, and the suspects fled the store and took off in a two-door vehicle.
