Semi bursts into flames, driver escapes on I-94 in Maplewood

MAPLEWOOD, Minn. (KMSP) - A semi burst into flames after crashing in along Interstate 94 in Maplewood, Minnesota late Sunday night. The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. near Century Avenue.

The semi went off the entrance ramp to Interstate 94 west and into the median, where it started on fire.

The driver was able to get out safely. Crews shut down the entrance ramp for several hours as they cleaned up the scene.
